My Best Engagement Shoot Ever

I love photographing people. Families. Kids. Couples. Corporate head shots. I love them all. There's something magical when you can capture a person's personality, character, and even the vibe they give off.

This past month was pretty busy as usual with lots of meetings, design deadlines, and a few fun photo shoots. The best and most rewarding photo shoot was the one I did for my little brother and my future sister in law.

Before we even talked about where to shoot, my brother told me they were going to be wearing traditional Korean outfits called hanboks and traditional Vietnamese outfits. With this in mind, we came up with a game plan of what the day would look like. We started at Hakone Gardens, moved on to Ed Levin County Park, and ended the day at Seacliff Beach. On a side note, sadly, the pier and old ship that used to be accessible is now closed off. I have fond memories fishing there as a child with my family. It sucks they closed that part of the beach.

With the help of Hung, my assistant for the day and the brother of my future sister in law, I had a great time photographing in beautiful locations, great light, and a few difficult lighting situations. At the difficult lighting locations, I definitely wished for a crew to help diffuse the light with a diffuser, carry all of the equipment, and a few assistants who could bring us ice cold drinks and fan us to cool us off lol! Unfortunately, it was just me and Hung so we trudged along all day and did our best.

If you'd like to schedule a photo shoot send me an email. I'd love to hear from you. Here are a few of my favorite from the day. Enjoy!
