Work, work, and it hit 103° today in San Jose!!!

103°. Yup, you read that right. It hit 103° here in San Jose today. I always thought I could handle the heat, but today I was treated to a hot dose of reality. I can't. The older I get, the less I can handle the heat and the stickiness that results from sweating. While I was driving home from my friend's house, the AC in car was even struggling to fight off the heat from outside.

I think the most difficult thing was doing a family photo shoot for a dear friend of mine yesterday when it was ONLY 95°. I felt bad for her kids and her parents so I did my best to get the shots as quickly as possible, and to try and shoot in open shade often. But the type of light that looks so beautiful in harsh midday sun is backlight, so towards the end of the shoot I had them take a few shots in the sun. I realized quickly, that the amount of time I would be able to shoot would be drastically cut down since everyone was literally melting. I came home sun burned, sweating, and hot, but with a smile on my face and sense of happiness because I was able to capture some great moments even when we were all burning out in the sun.

So finally now, at 1:51am it's a tolerable 75°. So I thought I'd take a moment to share some of the things I've been working on the last month or so. Enjoy.
